A Bit About Me
Ian has been enamored with computers ever since he could reach the keyboard. Always interested in digital art and design, Ian quickly learned that the digital space offered him the most flexibility to explore a huge swath of artistic and technical disciplines all using his computer. Ian wrote his first line of HTML at 7, wrote his first app at 15, and by the time he graduated college, he had piloted a VR education development program and gained a valuable education in computer science and economics.
Iftech was founded in 2020 with the vision of putting human beings back at the heart of technological endeavor, a value system that has been lost by the FAANG tech giants. Ian believes that hiring a solo developer for your project is one of the best ways to expedite communication, undergo rapid revision, and cut costs. After serving over a dozen clients since its inception, Ian is ready to take on ifTech's next challenge, whatever that may be.

Ian is responsible for proposing and implementing technical solutions to enhance marketing strategies. He is responsible for building, designing, and maintaining websites and software applications. He collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate technical solutions seamlessly into a digital marketing context.
Ian was responsible for rapid development and deployment of Extract, Transform, Load operations of large and often malformed or antiquated datasets related to the title industry using Python, SSIS, SQL, AWS.
Responsibilities also included data cleaning, data formatting, database conversions, cloud data conversion/management, data delivery and as needed development and solutions consulting.
Ian Developed, Deployed, and maintained a FullStack Web Application using VueJS Frontend, NodeJS/Express Backend API, MongoDB/DocumentDB Database, Amazon S3, API Gateway, Lambda, Ec2 etc
He converted a complex legacy database from MS Access to web-functional SQL and DocumentDB variant accessible through a web API hosted in the cloud.
Ian was responsible for the conception and execution of a pilot program for using Virtual Reality as an educational tool in a higher education setting. Co authored a grant proposal, secured funding, and executed research and development using HTC Vive and MagicLeap technologies. Developed a demo VR experience using Unity and the C# programming language. Presented research at a Technology in Education Summit held at Trinity College in San Antonio, TX.
